Successful opening of the new fifteenth season at Pirin Golf & Country Club.

10 winners announced the tournament on the occasion of the opening of the new season in Pirin Golf & Country Club. Despite the unfavorable weather conditions, 61 golfers took part in the first tournament of the year “Season Opening”.

The participants competed in an individual competition, divided into 3 divisions, according to their handicap. The golfers also participated in the golf ranking for the grand prize of the tournament – Weekday membership in Pirin Golf & Country Club. For the winners who won the first places in the 3 divisions, were prepared vacation with golf in clubs in Europe, partners of Pirin Golf & Country Club.

In the morning the participants had the opportunity to enjoy gourmet coffee from Hausbrandt, than a glass of Katarzyna wine and our partners from Tienda took care of their good mood after the finish with their delicious sausages and cheeses.

Rado Rashev, one of the leaders in the ranking of Bulgarian amateur golfers, grabbed the award in the gross ranking.

In the elite A division, in which the participants played strokeplay, the first places were occupied by Momchil Shishkov and this this brought him the award – 5 nights in Lina Golf, Finland. Second in the ranking was Anton Panayotov and Georgi Krastev was third.

In Division B, Angel Vassilev came in first with 33 stableford points, winning 3 nights of golf at the five-star Placio Estoril, Portugal. In second and third place were Stefan Kraychev and Hristo Bozhikov, who had an equal number of points, and the second place was determined by the better game of the last 9 holes.

In Division C, first place went to Emil Tomov with 37 points, who won golf nights in Black Stork, Slovakia, followed by ladies Petya Ilieva with 34 points, who won a break for two at Black See Rama and third place with 29 Stableford points took Stoyanka Tsoneva.

The special awards “Longest drive” and “Nearest to the pin” were won by Georgi Krastev and Todor Todorov, respectively.

All the first and second places won golf vacations in the country and abroad, and the third places won overnight stays, VIP spa packages in the five-star hotel Pirin Golf Hotel & SPA, as well as dinners in the fine restaurants of the complex.

The winners thanked the team and the management of Pirin Golf and Country Club for the excellent condition of the course and the perfect organization. Everyone wished many more successes for the upcoming golf season.

This year’s golf calendar of the club consists of a total of 35 tournaments, including 2 tournaments in September, carrying WAGR points – J Golf – The King of the West – Final WAGR, which will be held from 5 to 7 September, followed by the Macedonian Amateur Open – WAGR golf tournament. This year, guests can enjoy debut tournaments such as the Whispering Angel Golf Cup on June 11, which will uniquely present the exquisite French rose, as well as the Coca-Cola Golf Cup, Sanitec Golf Cup in the first week of September and Tienda Golf Cup on October 15th. The calendar also includes important tournaments such as the State National, which will be held on July 23, the BDO Golf Cup scheduled for July 23, the Diplomats and Friends Golf Tournament on July 30 and many other exiting sponsorship and domestic tournaments.

Apart from great prizes and exciting tournaments on the top golf course of Ian Woosnam, the participants in the Pirin Golf & Country Club tournaments will be able to take advantage of preferential prices for accommodation during the golf event in which they participate, as well as a price for a weekday green fee on the Sunday after the tournament, and the golfer who took part in the most tournaments will receive an additional 5% discount on goods, services and club membership.
