A Glorious Start to the Golf Season 2024 in Pirin Golf & Country Club

Pirin Golf & Country Club kicked off its golfing season in grand style on the bright and sunny day of April 6th, 2024, with the eagerly awaited Season Opening Tournament. With perfect weather conditions and a picturesque setting, the stage was set for an exhilarating day of golfing prowess and camaraderie.

The tournament saw the enthusiastic participation of 100 golfers, each eager to showcase their skills amidst the stunning backdrop of Pirin Golf & Country Club. As the golfers teed off, the air was filled with excitement and anticipation, heightened by the promise of an unforgettable day on the greens.

Adding to the allure of the event was the generous contribution of Domaine Boyar, providing participants with exquisite wine to savor throughout the game, adding a touch of sophistication to the day’s proceedings.

Divided into three divisions – A, B, and C – the tournament offered a thrilling competition for golfers of all skill levels. The stakes were high, with coveted prizes awaiting the champions of each division.

In the C Division, Georgi Kaloyanov emerged triumphant with an impressive 40 points, securing the top spot and earning a voucher for a luxurious getaway at Zala Springs, Hungary. Silvia Dragiyska and Jurgen Heinz Weidinger claimed the second and third positions respectively, each rewarded with exclusive vouchers for their outstanding performance on the course.

Meanwhile, the B Division witnessed intense competition, with Stoyan Pandev clinching the first position with 39 points, closely followed by Petar Danchev and Todor Chakov in second and third place. The winners of this division were rewarded with enticing vouchers for golfing experiences and accommodations in prestigious destinations.

In the highly competitive A Division, Filip Boyadzhiev showcased exceptional skill, securing the first position with a remarkable performance of 74 shots in the NET STROKES category. Rado Rashev and Plamen Mitsanski claimed the second and third positions respectively, each earning prestigious vouchers for golfing getaways and culinary delights.

Highlighting the talent on display, Petko Lazarov emerged as the gross winner of the tournament, showcasing promising potential and claiming the coveted Weekday membership in the club.

Acknowledging exceptional achievements on the course, Angel Iliev and Zlatan Zlatanov were honored with special awards for the longest drive and nearest to the pin, respectively, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.
